CampQ certainly is blessed with wonderful friends that can come to our aide and rescue when we call.
Our first thanks goes out to Randy, who got up extra early Friday morning to get Jeff and Ben to the airport. I didn't have to get two little kids up at 4:30 AM , thanks to him!
Our next thankyou goes to Roger, who was brave enough to come by the camp during my nervous breakdown and help me take off the attic door because the key is lost. I was having a surprise viewing our house by a realtor and her client Saturday and I was in panic mode trying to clean the place up. Sweet Roger even shampooed the bedroom carpet to get the diet coke stains off the white carpet. It was then that the phone rang and it was my agent calling to say the viewing was off. My mental state can't take much more of this stuff. Roger wanted to help finish the place up anyways, but I was ready to call it quits and take the kids to the airplane and antique car show that I had promised them.
The airplane and car show was at the local airport. Daniel and Rachel got an up close look at many different types of planes and vehicles.
The coolest thing that we saw was the Food City shopping cart. You should see how fast this thing can drive down the airport runway!
We left the show and headed over to Roger and Laura's for a cookout. It was to celebrate Michelle's and Boyd's (Roger's dad) birthday and a send off for Michelle going home tomorrow. It was such a nice evening. Warm, but not hot, and breezy. Daniel took along his tractor to ride around the farm.
Laura and Roger have the best yard for cookouts!
We had such a good time and were honored to be included in the family festivities. The kids were pooped when we got home and it was baths and bed. A very good ending to a day that started out tough.
