Jeff had a day off today after being on call for the weekend. It was Ben's idea for our family to go on a bike ride on the Creeper Trail. It takes a lot of equipment for a family of five to go on a bike ride!
Jenn pulled Rachel behind her in the bike trailer, it was easy the first half of the ride, but tough coming back because the incline is slightly uphill. It looks like not much of an incline, but it feels like a 45 degree angle when you are pulling 30-some pound Rachel and a 10-20 pound trailer behind you!
Daniel did super. He rode 7 miles all by himself on his two wheeler. Those little legs were pedaling as hard as they could!
Ben went exactly (according to his odometer) 9.006 miles. He could hardly make the last mile (he had barely enough energy to go 5 mph).
The scenery on the trail was beautiful and the shade was so cool and quiet. It truly is a wonderful thing to enjoy living in this area.
Rachel thought that she heard a bear!
It was a fun day, I bet some of us will be a little sore in the morning! Hopefully the kids will sleep good tonight!
I think that we will hit the pool this afternoon to cool off.
