Happy 4th of July!!! Wow, we have had quite the busy day today! We have pretty much eaten all day long. The day started out by us being invited to Randy and Jill Hunsucker's home for a breakfast get-together. This was another first for us this summer. We have never been invited to a 4th of July breakfast before. What a great idea it is. And what a great family to invite us! The kids got to play with Justin and they all got along so well. After we ate the crowd moved to the den to play the Wii. I think Jeff and Ben are hooked. We will have to get one soon.
Randy had to leave early, he was called in to work. That was a bummer. But we had such a nice time....Thanks Hunsuckers!
This afternoon we went to Laura and Roger Poe's farm for their family get-together. The kids love to be at their farm. They played with the dogs, fed the donkeys and Daniel got to get his hands greasy playing with tools and touching the tractor.
We had wonderful food, lots of it! The cake, which Ben picked out the recipe and did most of the preparation of, was a hit! Here is the recipe: Click here: Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! Bundt Cake With Chocolate Glaze Recipe Recipezaar
The weather wasn't cooperating with us, as soon as we got the food laid out, it started to thunder and rain. We all pitched in and got the food to the porch, just in time for it to stop raining. But the weather didn't spoil the fun and fellowship of a great afternoon! Thanks Laura and Roger!
"Hi Kelly, We Miss You!"
