Day 20

Day 20, Monday, June 23, 2008:

Jeff was back to work today, so the rest of the gang had to find something fun to do today. After running an errand, we headed over to Sugar Hollow Park. We took the kid's bikes and went to the soccer field area parking lot, which is gated off when there isn't any games going on. It made a great place for the boys to ride on flat surface without worrying about cars or pedestrians. Daniel is doing great, he is able to stay up and ride without falling too much. (you should see his poor knees) Ben got an speedometer/odometer for his bike. He made it up to 21.7 mph.

Rachel spent most of her time picking flowers.

For the afternoon, we decided to stop by the local garden store and pick up some plants. We picked out two tomato plants and a watermelon plant. We came home and Ben and Rachel planted them out on our deck. When the watermelon grows we will transplant it to the backyard. The kids will have fun watching them grow. Hopefully we will get to eat something from our efforts!
