Camp was closed today as it was Camp Q Counselor Jenn's day to volunteer for the Medical Mission. It was a long day but rewarding, we provided care for about 30 indigent people at a local shelter that would not get medical care otherwise. Jenn spent most of the day drawing blood. It is good to remember how good our life is, despite our problems these days.
The kids had to spend their day off at the babysitter. Ben stayed at his friend, Mason's house for the day. Thanks to his mom!
Tuesday, June 17, 2008:
Today was a day for Camp Q to hang around the tent (our house). We spent alot of time playing in the yard and did our first craft project. We made construction paper "sun" prints. We laid pieces of construction paper on the sidewalk and put things we found in nature on them to make a design.
by the way.... did you know that today was "National Eat Your Fruits And Vegetables" day??
Well, we did and we made homemade potato chips and strawberry jam to celebrate.
